Professor, National Institute of Fundamental Studies, Sri Lanka.
Dr. Seneviratne had obtained BSc and Ph.D. from University of Peradeniya in 1984 and 1993. He had served as research professor from 2009 to 2015 in National Institute of Fundamental Studies, and as senior research professor since 2015.
At present, he mainly served as the Fellow in the National Academy of Sciences of Sri Lanka, the Associate Editor to the Agriculture, Ecosystems & Environment, the Former Editorial Board member to the Ceylon Journal of Science, etc.
