Dr. Wu Yang's research focuses on functional bacterial genomics, biological membrane resistance, and antibacterial biomaterials. His work includes studying the regulatory mechanisms of bacterial biofilm formation, the molecular response of bacteria to antibiotics, and the discovery of novel biomarkers for antibacterial microorganisms.In recent years, Dr. Wu has published over 40 articles in journals such as Bacteriol, Emerg Microbes Infect, J Antimicrob Chemother, Antimicrob Agents Chemother, and JAMA Intern. Med. He has served as the first or corresponding author on more than 20 papers and holds three patents. Additionally, he has contributed to textbooks and monographs, including Medical Microbiology and Microbial Biofilms and Infections. Dr. Wu has led several major research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). His recent projects include two key projects (2021 and 2019) and two general projects (2021 and 2017), in which he served as either the project leader or primary researcher.
