Liu Xing is now a professor at the College of Resources and Environment of Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, winner of the National Outstanding Youth Science Fund, and Outstanding Youth of Fujian Province. His research interests include soil extracellular respiration and carbon neutrality in rice fields. He has been a professor since September 2022 and previously worked as a researcher at the Electrochemistry Center of Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University (November 2019 to August 2022) and completed postdoctoral research at the BioElectrochemistry Center of Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University (April 2016 to October 2019). He was a visiting scholar at the Department of Environmental Microbiology at the University of Massachusetts from September 2011 to October 2013. Dr. Liu holds a Ph.D. from the School of Biological Sciences and Medical Engineering of Southeast University and a bachelor's degree from the School of Life Sciences of Hubei University.
