Hideyuki Kanematsu

Short bio Dr. Hideyuki Kanematsu, Fellow of ASM International and the Institute of Materials Finishing, is a professor specializing in materials and surface science at the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Suzuka College, and a Specially Appointed Professor at Osaka University. With a Doctorate from Nagoya University, he has held roles including dean and deputy president at NIT. His research focuses on biofilm-resistant materials, anti-infective surfaces, and 3D-printed coatings. He collaborates widely in industry-academia projects, notably leading the GEAR5.0 Materials Unit. Dr. Kanematsu is also affiliated with institutions like Nagoya University, INTI International, and Woxsen University.
