Xiudong Xia is a professor in Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences. He primarily focuses on research in the areas of food biotechnology and synthetic biology. Over the past five years, he has led 10 projects including National Natural Science Foundation of China, the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, Key Research and Development Programs in Jiangsu Province, and so on. He has published over 40 research papers as the first or corresponding author in journals including Bioresource Technology, Metabolic Engineering, Food Chemistry, and so on. He has been granted 13 patents. He has been selected for the Jiangsu Province High-Level Innovation and Entrepreneurship Talent Introduction Plan, and has been appointed as a "Special Expert for the Development of Northern Jiangsu Province." He has received awards such as the Third Prize of Jiangsu Province Science and Technology, the Third Prize of Shennong Chinese Agricultural Science and Technology, and the First Prize of the China Food Industry Association Science and Technology Award.
