Senior Lecturer, Faculty of Applied Sciences, Uva Wellassa University, Sri Lanka. Dr. Singhalage earned her B.Sc. in Botany in 2005 from the University of Peradeniya. She then went on to obtain her Ph.D. in Plant Sciences in 2015, also from the University of Peradeniya, while collaborating with the National Institute of Fundamental Studies. Her research focused on microbial biofilms and led to the discovery of a novel biofilmed biofertilizer that enhances the growth and yield of strawberries. Currently, Dr. Singhalage serves as a Lecturer in the Department of Science and Technology of the Uva Wellassa University.
