Dr. Sophie E. Darch obtained PhD in Molecular Microbiology from the University of Nottingham in 2013, an MSc (Distinction) in Medical Microbiology from the University of Liverpool (Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine) in 2009, and a BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Science from Lancaster University in 2008. Her research interests focus on the complex bacterial populations and their relationship to disease. Her lab uses methodologies to observe and analyze bacterial aggregates (small, dense clusters of cells), in real-time, in three-dimensions and at the micro-scale.
