Jingyu Chen

Jingyu Chen, PhD, is an associate professor in the College of Food Science and Nutritional Engineering at the China Agricultural University. Prior to joining the CAU faculty, Dr. Chen received her PhD degree in biology from Tsinghua University in 2006. She was a visiting scholar in the Department of Food Science and Technology at the University of California, Davis (2012-2013) and a visiting scientist at the Western Regional Research Center, the United States Department of Agriculture (2018-2019). She is an executive member of the Beijing Society for Microbiology, an executive member of the Beijing Society for Food Science. Dr. Chen's research mainly focuses on the adaptive responses of food-borne pathogens and the design of microbial cell factories. Her research has been funded by National Natural Science Foundation of China, National Key R&D Program of China, Specialized Research Fund for the Doctoral Program of Higher Education, etc. Dr. Chen has published more than 100 peer-reviewed journal publications and holds 11 patents.
