Tao Yu graduated from Harbin Institute of technology majoring in Environmental Science and engineering. He is an associate researcher of Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen), a postdoctoral researcher of Imperial College of technology, and a doctoral candidate jointly trained by Delft University of technology in the Netherlands. At present, he is mainly engaged in the microbiome research of anaerobic digestion and anaerobic ammonia oxidation process. He served as the director of the editorial department of the journal Environmental Science & Ecotechnology, the young editorial board member of the discipline of civil water conservancy and building engineering of the Journal of the Chinese Academy of engineering, and the member of the young workers Committee of the China urban water supply and Drainage Association. Presided over and participated in 6 national level projects (including Dutch and British projects), obtained 6 national invention patents, published more than 50 academic papers (30 papers in JCR zone I), cited more than 1600 times, and H factor 27 (based on Google Scholar Statistics).
