Dr Honghua Hu is a Research Fellow at Macquarie University, Australia. Dr Hu was awarded her PhD in molecular microbiology at the University of Sydney in 2005 and has achieved over 80 refereed scientific publications in the following area: Bacterial biofilms and microbiome in medical devices; breast implant associated Anaplastic large-cell lymphoma; surgical infection prevention and control; dry surface biofilms characterisation and removal; molecular insight of diabetic foot infections; combination therapy of bacterial biofilms in chronic wounds; cystic fibrosis lung infections; host-pathogen interactions.
Dr. Hu is currently a guest editor hosting a biofilm special issue “Molecular Mechanism of Biofilm Infections and the Combat Strategies" in International Journal of Molecular Sciences.
