Cheng Li, Ph.D., is a Research scientist in Department of Biology at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He conducts research in metabolic engineering focusing on microbial producing food and feed additives, nutraceuticals, and cosmetics, mainly terpene derivatives, and engineering microorganisms to efficiently utilize lignocellulose and PET as carbon source. Dr. Li is also a Scientific Partner and CTO of the biotechnology company Polynovo Biotech.
