Dr. Waisundara had obtained her Ph.D. from Department of Chemistry, National University of Singapore in Food Science & Technology in 2010. She had worked as a lecturer at Temasek Polytechnic University in Singapore during 2009 to 2013. Afterwards, she focused on the Functional Food Product Development Project at the National Institute of Fundamental Studies from 2013 to 2016. She is currently the deputy principal of Australian College of Business & Technology in Kandy of Sri Lanka.
