Dr. Cheng obtained his Ph.D. from Sichuan University in 2010 under the supervision of Dr. Xuedong Zhou, and he studied in Academic Center for Dentistry in Amsterdam (ACTA) for one year. Then Dr. Cheng worked as a postdoctoral fellow in the School of Dentistry, University of Maryland-Baltimore on anti-caries effect of nanomaterials. Upon his return to China, he continued his work on oral microbiology and diseases in State Key Laboratory of Oral Diseases and was appointed as professor in July 2015. Until now Dr. Lei has published over 140 articles (103 SCI papers among them) including reviews and research papers.
